Mr. Nguyễn Đình Tu – born 1962, from Ninh Bình – accused the authorities of Thanh Hóa Province of falsifying documents and unlawfully seizing more than 5,000 square meters of his family’s land.
During his petitioning process, he and his family were repeatedly subjected to police repression and violence. His wife suffered a miscarriage, and his 6-year-old son sustained a ruptured eyeball due to beatings.
