Once a hardworking and prosperous farmer, Mr. Ngọc’s life took a devastating turn when he was arrested in 2001. He was allegedly tortured, forced into confession, drugged, and unjustly imprisoned. Since then, he and his family have been seeking justice.
Since 2013, he has survived by collecting garbage and recyclables on the streets of Hanoi, using the little he earns to continue his petition efforts. His life resembles a small film, capturing a journey of pain, hardship, and silent endurance.
